Four Minutes That Changed the War — Carrier Strike
The turning point of the Pacific War, rendered as a naval diorama unlike any other chess set in existence. The deep blue Pacific stretches across the board with Midway Atoll at one end. Aircraft carriers from both fleets dominate the surface — the USS Enterprise, Hornet, and Yorktown facing off against the Kido Butai. Dive bombers streak down from above, torpedo planes skim the wave tops. Anti-aircraft fire fills the sky. In four pivotal minutes, three Japanese carriers were set ablaze. This is our only naval-focused War Table, and the water effects alone take over 60 hours to hand-sculpt.
